So im thinking maybe RX10 iv.............
I’d highly recommend for an enthusiast as I mentioned.

The one downside if there is one is the menu is a bit of a nightmare but I’ve got a couple of pdf guide books I could send if you go for it.

In a way I’m sorry I sold mine and switched to an interchangeable lens camera as it’s a lot more of a faff swapping lenses!!

The quality of the lens on the Sony is excellent btw

I know someone who bought the mkiii and there was little to no difference image quality wise, just the zoom range is less on the mkiii

The Sony RX10 iv arrives today! Got my SD card ready. Now looking for a Macbook Air and a Lightroom subscription :think smile bounce:
Might be worth looking at Affinity - photo pretty sure they’ve still got a try it for free for 6 months offer. One off payment if you decide to keep it and you own the software, no monthly subs. There’s loads of free tutorials on Youtube

Looks good, might give it a go for 6 months and see

I might suggest that you also give Adobe Photoshop Elements a go (I think you can get a free 7 day trial). TBH, I've no idea about Affinity but I've been using Elements (and the full fat Photoshop) for donkeys and always found it to be excellent for everyday use. As I type this, I've got both Elements and Photoshop proper on the same M2 MacBook Air and find that I generally go straight to Elements as the preference.
While I'm here, I might also suggest you don't get too hung up on RAW - maximum quality JPG is plenty good enough 99% of the time (the other 1% being for pro photographers who might need to squeeze the maximum possible out of a file).
