Pop Roof, which one?

I'm a bit disappointed with my roof...its got loads of bolts showing where the internal handles are for pulling it back down! Looking at some if these photos on here, no one else's has this!
Oh dear @Victoria Alletson, that's a bit disappointing, have you discussed it with the fitters? What roof is it? Perhaps other folk on here can post pictures so that you can print them off and take them into the converters and show them how it should have been done, and ask for their comments and solution.

I've actually now seen a few with them looking through the media files, but I will point it out to my converter chap...and there I was fretting about the electric hook up point ruining the line of the van and now there's a load of bolt heads doing it! Luckily, I'm vertically challenged, so can't see them under normal circumstances...its only when I'm stood on my front steps!

Following my trips around the local area looking at pop tops and company's I've now booked my van in for a conversion and will be going for the skyline. I think it suits my tastes and requirements the best out of the competitive market.

@Tomahawk chop Booked the van in yesterday for Feb 3rd (earliest available date) me and the other half have to pop back next month and decide the cabinets and pop top fabric. I'm leaning towards an orange canvas to contrast my blue van but the Mrs wants to be a bit more reserved. We both really like copper and she wants a dark grey canvas and dark wood effect cabinets but try to find copper trim for the doors and cabinet edges.

Whatever way you go good luck , so much choice out there
We managed to buy the Van and get converted in just over a month back in May , we were in a hurry for personal reasons , really wanted to make the most of this summmer
Best thing we ever did ... absolutely no regrets despite the £££££££££££££:)

Cant take the money with you and I currently have no kids so seems the right time to get it all sorted.

It could be a UKPOPTOPS roof. I think the one i looked at had the bolts showing on the outside.

When thinking about a roof, and the bed, take these two into account first. As far as i'm aware the top of the bed on a UKPOPTOPS is flush with where the old roof was, so you lose the height of the bed thickness inside the van. I assume this is the same if not worse with a HILO roof. As previously discussed, the RIB bed's are higher than your average bed. When i visited a converter to decide on which roof to have fitted, I sat on a rock and roll bed (not RIB), and I couldn't sit up without my head fouling the roof. I am only 6 foot and couldn't believe anyone had forseen that fault. I asked the owner of the converters and he said no one had noticed that before. When I am using my van and the weather is grim I don't put the roof up, i wouldn't be able to have that roof/bed combo.

Go and have a look at the converters who you want to fit your roof for you, sit on a bed in the back of the van and test the comfort. I would love a HiLo roof but losing the space inside of the van makes it unusable for me, plus I feel the plastic threaded locking mechanism's will fail over time. All it takes is one duff lock and they're knackered.
