portable solar to leisure battery connection

Hello all,

I've been scouring the numerous posts on this forum regarding the connection of solar panels as a way of charging the leisure battery.

I've just recently acquired a Jackery power station and solar panel so ideally wanted to make use of the panel to also charge up the leisure battery on occasions.
I've got an idea of what needs doing and I know there are numerous options and ways to do it.

I'm considering the victron to do this but unsure what I need to;
a) connect the viltron to the battery (and fuse)
b) connect the panel to the victron.

I'd really appreciate if someone could explain in layman's terms and provide a 'shopping list' if possible for what I need.
The panel comes with a cable (see attached pics) so would it be best to get a sort of adaptor to plug this cable into it or go for an alternative cable.

Thanks in advanceIMG_0386.jpegIMG_0385.jpeg

you need to get a solar controller.

plug your solar panel into that,

then wire the solar controller to the leisure battery via a fused link.

the victron 75/15 is very popular for up to 200W panels.

Thanks for your response, I was reading your other posts on the subject so thankyou for being so helpful and knowledgeable!

I think I know what I need for the cable between the Victron and the battery, its what I need between the Victron and solar panel I'm mostly struggling to find.

The panel is 100w, I've seen cheaper Victrons, will the cheaper one suffice and what are the differences between them all?

Looking at the pics above, the solar panel has the large DC barrel jack plug.

So you still need the matching ,"DC barrel socket to cable" lead...
