Prospective new T6 owner

I would say not, I work in car design and the previous companies I've worked for never have specified a wax or some other form of paint protective coating to be applied after trim and final (VW may be different but I doubt it). I'd suggest the reason mine 'looks so shiny' is because the van was only a couple of hours out of the dealer who probably did give it a clean and polish of some description (OK I'm aware of all the narrative on here regarding dealer cleaning but lets leave all that aside for the moment) and that it was a gloriously sunny day and by pure luck it caught it in 'all it's glory' as by no means am I any kind of photographer!
Hi, thanks for reply, I’m sure I’ll go for red like the black alloy look. Thanks again

I know that this thread is really old but I was told that if I had heated seats I couldn't have swivel seats???
Also, I never knew that i could have three single seats in the second row, I have 2+1. Why don't dealers learn what they can offer???
I would love 3 single seats

Had the same problem when configuring our MY2016 van. Also, electric lumber support is not available with VW swivel seats.

Easy solution....just fit aftermarket swivel seat bases. We have RIB swivel bases and have electric seats and electric lumbar support! Just ensure you take care with the cable runs to the seat (through hole in centre of base) and protect the wiring from any mechanical damage.

We, or at least our converter took the opposite approach. We have the VW swivel seats and aftermarket heating to them. The swivels are fine (although of course there is no height adjustment). Heating still to be tested, but it won’t be long.

I have (from the factory) heated and swivel seats in my Kombi, as far as I know three single seats are only available with twin sliding doors.

That is another advantage of using aftermarket swivel bases - you can keep the height adjustment. The seat is obviously a bit higher anyway due to the swivel base.

The key thing for us (as well as heated seats) was having the electric lumbar support adjustment and that definitely was not available on VW swivels.
