12hrs is usually enough time for it to set and will cure off completely in 2 or 3 days pending type of coating. No chemical wash for 7 days.

I think you've all got it wrong. I go for the no wash until spring method. It involves a steadfast resolve of not touching the vehicle until the clocks go forward, and gradually building up a solid layer of muck, unpenetrable to the hardest of road salt. It has the added bonus of creating a two tone effect on dry days.

Top half black, Mojave beige/Indium grey bottom half could work, mine's chestnut brown so is more of a clear matte wrap to the bottom half effect but with the front end fairly clear of road spray she looks like some sort of giant square jetski.
