The App Connect isn’t wireless. Your phone needs to be plugged into the USB-C port. The screen is small, but bigger than my phone screen. I run Waze as sat nav for the cost of a usb to usb-c adaptor

Thanks. So yours is the standard Nav and head unit then? Did you think (or were you told) it was wireless before you purchased it? It's always so unclear when ticking the option boxes! Having a bigger screen would be great but not sure if it's actually worth the money.
Anyone else know what other features the upgraded unit brings over standard? I'm talking about on a T32 Highline if that makes any difference. Cheers!

Mine isn’t sat nav. It’s Apple car play (or android auto) So it screen mirrors my phone. You can use Apple maps, or Waze as a map, or nav. Then all the other bits like messages, podcasts, WhatsApp etc. But via a usb cable. I’ve got rear view camera option (coz tailgate) that works fine on the screen

Oh I see. Apologies. I thought all head units had Sat Nav of some sort. What cheap skates! So you don't feel like you're missing out by not having the full nav / bigger screen? Was it a conscious decision not to have it or down to budget?

On my t6, I had my phone in a cradle, and used that for nav. Now on the 6.1 it’s on the dash screen, I’m well happy. Mine is a work van/mobile workshop, that I lease, So adding options is big money, that I’ll never see again. Different story if you buy, then sell on/ use as your ‘car’ etc. I go for things like, big wheels, side bars, roof rails, I’ve swapped from my 5.1 to 6 and now 6.1.

The standard, Highline head unit, on the T6.1, isn’t wireless. I’m not sure on the factory option nav.

Thats not what I was told. I've asked online, 2 salesmen at my dealer and also I read the manual while in there and all say it is wireless as standard. I had heard that you have to use the cable once just to set it up but then onwards it's wireless.

Also I spoke to Leighton on their YouTube and they also said it's wireless.

I’ve been plugging my phone in, all this time (Since March) for no reason, gutted. I’m going to try it now!!!!!

I've got a Kenwood dx in mine and it's awesome butt the deck is about 1000 new had main dealers fit it when bought my van....YouTube songs and phone works great be honest happy with it......

So can you control your Iphone Nav through the head unit or do you still need to be able to have access to it whilst driving? My van will be used for work 99% of the time but because that’s when I only ever really do any driving I want it to be specced up correctly from the start. I’ll be buying it outright too so maybe that will make a difference? I just don’t want to miss the upgraded Nav off only to wish I had it later on if it adds other features or value. Trouble is I can’t find concrete information anywhere. Even on here people are still confused so I’ve got no chance but to add it I guess. Over £1k is a lot though!

Not sure on Spotify, but my Apple Music works. The nav question is a tough one. If you are building a vehicle, with all the ‘toys’, nav should be at the top of your list. However, I read a lot about the Discover Nav not being any good, and being swapped. Tough call
