Over the years I've seen more Evo motion furniture than I can bare.
Has anyone got an unusual or quirky fit out in their van? Something different from the usual?
Be great to see some photos if anyone wants to share
That might be the best MTB lovers set up I've ever seenTallPaul's Caravelle - MTB wagon!
Progress on the same bit above, it's now almost done. The 2 ducts in place, with one going to the front of the unit, in between the fridge and the back of the drivers seat, leading to a vent on the front. I'll have storage to the right of the vent, big enough for cans of food. Then another...www.t6forum.com

Normal van/car seating for 4 adults (Inc driver) and space for 2 full size mountain bikes, and a full kitchen with sink, fridge, gas hob. Also space for one person to sleep in the van WITH the bikes inside (yet to be built).
Oh and it's in a SWB caravelle and is all fully removable with zero modifications made to the van.
Quirky enough for ya?!
Literally no one offers this sort of set up so I've had to design and build it all myself.
Have you got a pop top?TallPaul's Caravelle - MTB wagon!

Nope, a pop top would obviously give a greater bed area, but being a Caravelle it's out of budget at the moment. Maybe I'll look at one in a year or 2 once I've used the van for a bit.Have you got a pop top?
Yeah it would change everything mate. Definitely worth investing in.Cheers!

Sorry to jump in here - with the rusty lee beds can you adjust the angle of the seating position? Why dont you try Rusty Lees Rock and roll beds? Hes a pal of mine. Much cheaper than 3k and in my opinion the best in the u.k
I wouldn't fit anything else in my vans.
You mean like recline etc? No I don't think so. But just to ask the question, why would you want to do that?Sorry to jump in here - with the rusty lee beds can you adjust the angle of
It was recommended to me - as some rock and roll are quite upright and not that comfortable for leisure use ¯\_(ツ)_/¯You mean like recline etc? No I don't think so. But just to ask the question, why would you want to do that?
The Titan bed can be reclined when it is in seat mode. But, must be upright for travel.Sorry to jump in here - with the rusty lee beds can you adjust the angle of the seating position?
As I liked to remind my daughter, “This isn’t a democracy”We have a Fabworx electric powered R&R type rear seat, very comfortable in bed mode, but it is too too upright to be properly comfortable on long haul journeys with 2 in the front and one in the back. 17 year old baby daughter is too precious to sit in the back on any journey, plus she needs to change the radio station twice in every minute on average.
The trip to Skye in August will be a test of wifeys and my stamina alternating the driving with sitting in the back.
Certainly not having any more kids...

Thats a great designMy bed is now finished, I'll be taking the van on its first overnight outing tomorrow!
So in day mode I've got 2x seats in the back, with the bed folded up behind them.

When I'm at a site or using the van in the back (aka not driving) I'll fold the rear seat down and slide it under the part of the bed that overhangs, this will give me an OK amount of space, more when I swivel the passenger seat. On longer trips I'll remove one seat which will give me loads more room.
Then in night mode, the bed slides and folds down, the cushions go on top and I have a 6ft long single bed.

There's 4x sets of legs, 2x at the end, 2x in the middle and the plywood uprights so it's all very sturdy.
Also, crucially, I can fold out the bed even with bikes loaded with the handlebars overhanging the bed. Previous designs would have meant going outside and sliding the bike drawer out to deploy the bed which just wasn't good enough!
I really like the idea of hinged access... Something I may try and engineer into my trial. I found at weekend difficult getting to back of large tub on RHS. Also the alpicool lid a bit of a nuisance as means top 'shelf' only could be rolled back half. Might split my bed supports at front. Even fix perhaps if used hinges... Bikes did fit in great tho and overall tidier.I've been experimenting with a layout fabricated from Aluminium extrusion after seeing some inspiration on instagram. This is where I've got to so far...
