Quirky/different fit outs.

What was that white stuff that the automatic saws used to aid cutting. My grandad had a fabrication company working on the rigs and they cut steel with these big automatic saws that sprayed this white liquid on the cut. .. smelled amazing
Reply 2.
From an old engineering friend;

‘the liquid is soluble oil and it smells nice (slightly disinfectant) when it’s new but can smell awful when it’s old.’
Enjoy?!?

Reminiscing…
It ain’t what it used to be?!?

Hi @Green Giant
That looks awesome.
Could you share info on the hinges, multi section drawer runners etc?
Also, after the teasers pics, some more views of the overall look?
I have thoughts on how to fit out ours, but not sure of which methods, or where to purchase stuff.
Thanks, Andy
The draw runners and hinges came from a company called BOX15, not cheap though..( Lunch 39)
I’m away for a few weeks, not in the van, I’ll take some pics of the finished set up in July, here are a few pics of when I started the adaptions.
First I built a ply unit to store 4 boxes for easy access to our clothes at the rear.
Then I replaced the original worktop and make it longer to reach the rear unit
Then I made the pull out table in the space between.
Then made a deep draw under the table, you can open it with the bed boards down, but you need to move cushions.
Iv also made a long shelf up above the worrktop/ window, 7A8288E7-05FB-41DC-89D5-41D0D86CD657.jpegBA03D2AE-B418-4A6D-98D8-33337B500124.jpeg6CD4EAA1-0772-4D9C-A718-2850A1B2657C.jpegD7B7894C-321B-4D26-BD7F-BD48A017AE8F.jpegno pics at the mo.
We still have all the storage available under the original u shape seating, the tailgate rear section is huge.
I also extended the original ply bed board at the rear by 10cm so it almost reaches the the tailgate, so the bed is 1.8 long (swb van)
I’m currently doing the electrics, hob etc
Our poptop mattress also fits downstairs, which goes on top of the seating cushions,( not shown) very comfortable.
