Can the tow bar effect the rear fogs? Would they come on if tow bar was in use? Not been used for ages so may be causing an issue somewhere potentially?

Ok so if there was an issue with the tow bar wiring that wouldn't explain the dash warning light?
Have no equipment to scan. Only rear fog that appears not to be working. Warning light doesn't give any indication how which light is out.
So big thanks to @Deaky and @Pauly (Phone a friend) for your assistance this afternoon it was very much appreciatd.
Still not solved the issue to narrowed it down.
So it seems my tow bar is causing the problem with the van thinking a trailer is connected hence why the rear fogs wouldn't come on. Managed to disable the trailer function in vcds which got the fogs working but still getting the bulb out warning on the dash.
Also just noticed that the parking sensors are showing the van with a trailer connected so clearly something is a miss with the tow bar control module.

Thanks. Just spoke to them (seemed very helpful) need to open box and see what module number and try replacing that.
So just to update for anyone interested. Have plugged in my towbar carrier and all lights work with no dash board warning message. Once remove the van still thinks there is a trailer connected.
Pulled free the control module
Opened box and disconnected the module
Now no warning lights on dash so clearly the control module as failed..
We try and get a replacement next week to try.

Further update. Have purchase and fitted a new module at a cost of £60. Seems to have done the trick with no warning lights on the dash and the van no longer thinks it has a trailer connected.
