THQ lower concealed door fitted for my hook up cable











I had to drill through 3 skins of metal with a tapered cutter and this allowed me to put a piece of hose pipe over the hook up cable going through the skins. Then I drilled through the 4th skin of metal and fitted a cable grommet to protect the cable inside the van.
I removed what metal filings I could and then pumped in loads of wax oil before fitting the socket and cable.
The electric sockets aren’t sitting on the floor it’s the angle of the picture taken.

Does anyone know how to get the filler pipe into the cover from underneath the van. Under the plastic underbody cover there is a gromet how to get from there to the panel

There is a gap between the outside skin and the corner support structure just wide enough to get LPG filler tubing through, plenty of space for a 3 core electric cable. Take off any interior panels on the side you are working on and it will be visible.

Thanks, I was hoping to put a 30mm filler pipe up there for my underslung water tank, does anyone know if that is possible. I cant see the structure of the corner

If you look at my pictures in post 18, where the diesel and water fill points are there are (from memory) two thicknesses of steel close together (painted outer, gap of about 10mm then a further thickness of steel, I can't remember if there is a third one further back but) I took the diesel filler through a tight downward bend then came out behind the black plastic underbody.

Cheers for that, I am using a splitter on the end of the EHU cable for this weekend but may go that route in the future.
