Remapping

Hi, looking at getting my T6 102 remapped. There are 2 company's in Inverness that do it Revo and Eco Power Tuning. Revo wont do the 102 as they have had turbos failing. Do VW use different turbos for their other engines.

Which 102 model is yours - Euro6 (uses AdBlue) or Euro5 (doesn't).
It's the Euro6 model where there have been problems.

I believe Pendle will do a map for that engine. They seem to use Facebook, so contact them and see what they say (and ask them why their remap is safe).

The nearest Pendle rep is north east England so a fair journey for me.

The nearest Pendle agent to you is near Durham. You will need to call Martin at Pendle hq as he’s always saying on Facebook that he won’t respond to messages

Well I have spent all day reading about remapping. As mine is a 2016 Euro5 model (being done this week - posted in another thread) I think I'm ok, but would not be so sure about Euro6.

What a steep learning curve this VW campervan thing is. Wife has not seen me for days....................

It's not for everyone that's for sure. I want it as the van I have just bought is only 102hp and as I want to tow a trailer need the extra power.... so upgraded to 150hp. I can see why so many say why not just buy a vehicle with correct engine size in it, but that was not an option for me. Fingers crossed I have made the correct choice.

I’ve been following Pendle on Facebook for a while and when you look at the dyno graphs it’s easy to see the a remap doesn’t just increase power and torque but it also greatly improves the way that it is delivered. My apologies if I’ve stated the obvious

I won’t be getting my van remapped but only because it’ll be brand new and would void the warranty on the engine and drivechain.

I may in time go to pendle.. see how performance is affected by van conversion first...
