Removing magnetic GB sticker!?

I finally removed it all. It wasn’t easy and it looks as if it’s removed some of the lacquer. I cleaned and polished the area but there are lots of matt spots all over it. They don’t show up well on a photo but this might give you the idea. Pretty disappointed as the van’s virtually new. Is there a cheap and easy way of fixing this or is it one for a professional?

That damage looks similar to if you leave bird poo on paintwork too long. Very disappointing.

yeah a bit like that. However, quick update... I forgot that I had some Meguiars ultimate compound lying around. I‘ve attacked it with that and it seems to have made a real difference to the extent that it looks fully restored now.

So the hairdryer’s not just for hair......it also works on plastic bumpers ....heat it up and push the bump out

i have a magnetic sticker, i suspect the same one..it normally lives on the inside of the (barn) door out the way, then i stick it on the back when going overseas...i'm hoping that as its out of sunlight it wont suffer the same problem however best check next time im in the back of the van!
