Reverse Camera and LED Tail Light conflict

Hello,

I'm sorry to dig up this topic, but I have the same problem:
I bought led lights from THQ and since then my rear camera doesn't work anymore...

I changed the previous relay which buzzed when I put the car in reverse and with which the camera lit up from time to time for this one (with a diode):

I tried again and it didn't work. I tried again with the old lights and it doesn't work anymore? I've ordered a new camera, but can you tell me if there's anything else I can do? A resistor? Thanks a lot!

It’s best to never connect the reverse camera to the reverse light, but to run the camera itself to a ignition feed from the dash area then just have the screen flipping from the reverse feed or a CanBus adapter

I have a slightly different issue but assumed it has the same cause. My camera is connected directly to a 12v feed but has a delay relay which is switched by the reverse lights.

My camera has a built in white light when it’s powered so I’d need to switch the entire camera if I changed the power setup but that’s probably going to be the easiest option. I’m going to try disabling PWM first though.

I've made some progress but still have issues.

My original issues were that after fitting THQ LED rear lights, I had a bulb out warning, my camera stopped working when the engine was running and the LEDs on the camera lit up (and remained lit) from the second I turn the ignition on.

Disabling PWM has helped as the camera now works when the engine is running, however the other 2 issues are still present.

I have a suspicion that it may be something to do with the camera being improperly grounded as I have always found the camera quality to be poor but that might be a herring.

Also, I've noticed that my reverse lights turn on with the ignition, albeit very, very dimly.

Reverse camera has been swapped and rewired (to ignition switched feed only) but I’m still experiencing issues. I also reverted the PWM change so the rear light electrics are all back to factory.

When both LED lights are connected, I get a bulb warning on the dash and the reverse LEDs light very dimly even after the ignition is switched off, though I believe this stops once the van is locked.

If I remove one LED light and replace with the original, the issue disappears completely - doesn’t matter which side.

If I remove one of the lights while the issue is present I can see 4v going across the reverse light connector, which I assume is something to do with the bulb monitoring, as well as the reason the LEDs are lit up.

I’ll contact THQ once they reopen on the 2nd but I’d be keen to hear any other ideas in the meantime.
