Revolution Camper Conversions

Sorry didn't realise I had a reply. What does the Sargent look like and where is it likely to be postioned please?
does not look too different from your power management system with a set of dc fuses, tge RcD for mains and charging switch. It is position where your pms is in my ricos

So I guessni need to open up the Powerpart and see if there's a battery charger in there and if it's working.

To start with i would hook up the mains, get a volt meter measure the LB voltage then hit the charger switch on the PMS and see if the voltage rises to 13.2v or there abouts

Hi there. I've hooked up, checked the 240v in van sockets are working. Tick.

Battery meter and control panel, don't move from 12v. So confirmed not charging from 240v ehu.

Next Steps?

there is likely to be two 20amp fuses, one to the LB and one to the Main, check they are good. Check also when you are hooked up to the mains, your sockets are powering something, as you could have an RCD trip.

good to check any fuses close to the LB to see if they have blown

Hi. I pulled L battery 20amp fuse and all the electrics switched off, including the control panel. I replaced the 2 x 20amp fuses just in case. None blown. Yes the 240v internal van sockets work.

I tripped the rcd and re set it.

The LB does register 13.2v when the engine is running.

So that suggests the B2B charger is ok but not the AC charger within the PMS. If your unit is similar to my Sargent EC155 there will be a AC switched feed to an internal charger within the box.

if there are no obvious loose connections or broken wires, then it sounds like the next step would be to open the PMS to see if there is output from the internal AC to DC charger.

if you dont want to do that an alternative might be buy a smart charger, connect it to LB on a temp basis and run it off one of your electrical sockets. not ideal.

i ended up stripping the constant voltage charger out of the PMS and running an AC line to a Victron AC smart charger mounted near the LB

I've opened the pms, but can't seek to identify if there there is an ac to dc charger. Can you spot it from these pics.

I've checked the fuses adjacent to the LB. The main fuse was replaced by garage last year and is fine. The blue one in the pic is quite loose, I've pulled it and nothing stops working. So not sure what it's for.

think its the caged electronics. There is an ac feed from the RCD which looks to go into the charger but the output is going somewhere into the back of the pcb on the rhs. Might be spade connectors on the back of the pcb that you can do a volt check on.

same set up but not sure what they are for. if they are good then you can discount them as the issue. The blue 15amp fuse is unlikely to be in the circuit. Inclined to see what voltage is coming out the caged electronics into the back of the pcb of the PMS

Ok. So I'm not sure how to check it. This is my clamp meter, and this is the back of the pub. The red and black cables go from cage to main on/off switch and then red/green and white cables from on/off switch to pub.

Probably at the limit of what i can recommend but looks like the green/red and white are outputs. I would be inclined to think the charger is the culprit. Anybody local that can take a look at it?
