I would say, it wasn;t that hard to get out. There may have been some of the plastic trim fixings too but I cannot rememer. It didn't need too much force.Cheers will give it a go tomorrow

the rear seals fit just the same they get removed when carpeting the trick is not to stretch them or compress so the ends join together nicely put a slight pressure bend on and they gape that slides over the carpet, run a thin trim tool round it's a doddle of a jobThis job has just been added to my to-do list now after finding mine have gone rusty when doing other jobs yesterday. I’m going to go for the repro ones, even at a third of the price they can’t be any worse than the OEM ones.
Just following that link I notice they do full packages for all doors. Do the sliding door and tailgate seals suffer from the same rusting problem?
Deffo worth persevering, VW quoted me £255 labour only for the driver door only. 2.5 hours, one door. Think 4 hour quote originally was for both front doors. Still lot of money saved if you can do it yourself.Cheers will give it a go tomorrow
First post in this thread is where I got mine from, been on nearly a year and no issues.I need to do this job on both my front doors. Does anyone have a link to where I can buy replacement seals, or the part numbers to get the OEM seals?
Thanks, I don’t know how I missed that!First post in this thread is where I got mine from, been on nearly a year and no issues.
Thanks I've just found a threat explaining how to on here too. Much appreciated.Best to replace it. Common problem. Happens over time when your feet catch it. Easy enough to do.

Just need to find some kind of seal strip for the other issue I guess?
That shouldn’t be letting any air in. The gap is there to stop rattling, is my guess. Also, this I think needs some kind of seal too, I think it's a little drafty... I recommendations?
Thanks!
I did this seal on my T5. Hardest job was cleaning off the sticky goop left behind by the old one. Then just trim new one to length, peel and stick. Make sure you line it up when sticking down, the adhesive is not letting go.i was also thinking of replacing the small seal that goes from the front door hinge to the back of the sliding door...anyone done this?
I need to have a look in the roof to see if it's insulated I think. Might help on those frosty mornings. That shouldn’t be letting any air in. The gap is there to stop rattling, is my guess.
