Screwing items into the bottom of a pop top bed/base

Yes it would. I did consider this, but planned to use head rest for other things and thought it would look smart hanging from the mount. You can tell I’m a newbie not thinking too practically.
If it's for use when the bed is down would one of the headrest brackets/mounts give you similar function, and as @DXX was saying is easy to revert to stock.

More practical mounting on the bed-board IMO, especially of you're going to swivel the front seats around.

I've also got a ROKK mount fixed to the sliding cover at the front of my pop top bed board which is great for the ipad. It's not specifically for an iPad so will out-last it no problem and you can fit any tablet.

I've also got a headrest mount as we use the iPad for the little one on longer trips and the ROKK mount obscures the vision in the rear view. Both are great!

How does the sliding cover work?

How does the sliding cover work?
I have a Hi-Lo pop top and when it's lowered, the fabric mostly sits at the front (I assume other pop tops are similar but I haven't seen any others to compare). I then have a board that slides forward to hide all the fabric (that's what the ROKK mount if screwed to, it sits in line with the headrests).

I'll take some pictures tomorrow if you like.

Not all makes of pop-top have them, but for those that do, the cover fills the gap between the cab roof lining and the front edge of bed-board (thus hiding the rolled-up canvas). When the roof is up, the cover can be removed or positioned (slid) anywhere along the roof opening.

Actually, that's a genius place for the mount - when the roof is up, you can position it anywhere along opening for optimum "downstairs" viewing, and even turn the board upside-down for "upstairs" viewing.

It really is!

I can't take credit though, previous owner fitted it

Every single time I read a thread on this forum it costs me money , don’t even own a iPad and now I want a rokk mount
S'okay, they're only cheap - in Transporter terms :)

Got the same setup on mine. One mount actually on the end of the bed-board, and another on the 'reverse' side of the Hilo cover (so can be used either to mount the tablet up top, or anywhere along the lower deck if you flip the cover over). But then you know who fitted mine, @Bav ;)
