How do people hold/secure their pop tops down? I have a webbing line for both the pull down handles to secure it but this seems quite faffy. Is there something better out there? Thanks
Our pop top is held down by two locking over centre latches. The locking is effected by a catch through each, joined on an elastic strip. It works well for us and is very neat.
The latches were installed by our converter so I can’t provide product details. The last time our van was with them they did offer to install an additional tie down strap in the centre if we wanted. We declined because we have no concerns about our arrangement, but I wonder if others find it less desirable. We just make sure we never leave it down without hooking in the locking strap.
I had horrible rubber rally bonnet catches but found it had movement on the motorway so changed mine back to tie down straps but looped them and cut to length so they act as a stop to prevent the roof from being pulled open to far by wind
