Show us your 20’s

I currently have 20" alloys and H&R 40mm lowered suspension (with a slight rear end sag because of the camper conversion).
The road where we live is a rough bumpy track and also i find the ride harsh with it being lowered, because of this im thinking about going back to un -lowered standard suspension.
Does anyone have any pictures of their van running 20" alloys with non lowered suspension? Im intrigued as to what it looks like
Here’s mine a T30, 20” standard springs

Hi Andy,

I've got some T28 OEM springs you can have, for free. See the for sale section on the forum.

At the risk of doing myself out of the garage space I want to gain by getting rid of them, I did fit the Ebach adjustable springs (Comfort version). Brett at Chillijam was very helpful. I have a full camper conversion. The stance no longer has a rear sag. I'm on 19's. Hope this helps.

that's the look I'm after Nigel, only very slightly lowered and no rear end sag :)

Out of interest, what will you do with your H&R’s?

Hello all
Question like from the topic of the post. I have a T6 multivan.

Which ET for 20 "wheels.
I'm going to buy 20 "9J rims from ET35 will it fit?

The question is also about the load capacity, there are no marks on the rims, the manufacturer is silent. I found out that these models had a load capacity above 720kg, in proof of my T6's max load is 3000kg, so in total 200kg would be missing to reach the threshold. On a daily basis, I drive around the city, family, several times a year we go on further routes (2 adults and 4 children), but I doubt that I would approach 2500 kg in maximum load.

I would like a 255x40 tire on it, I know that the speed difference on the speedo will be over 3%. Maybe someone has such a set on their T6.

I will be grateful for your help.

Anything around Et40 will be fine, give or take 5mm each way.

Weight rating wise has to be axle weight not total weight divided by four. Look at the stick on the O/S under the bonnet. With under rated tyres or wheels you won’t be insured.

And the official recognised 20” tyre by VW is 275/35, I’d recommend fitting this.

It’s interesting. I always thought that was the case too...but I was at an official VW dealer the other day and spotted this:

As you’ll see - the tyres on a van they have for sale are 275/40/20.

There is no official recognised tyre for the t32, and I suspect this is a t32. I spoke at length about this issue with Supermetal. No tyre comes near enough to the 275/35 size.
The 265/40 is just the best fit we recommend as it nearer than the 275/40.

Does anyone out there know if the new Tiguan R 20" wheel will fit my soon to be delivered T6 ? which I'm fitting Bilstein adjustable coil-overs to 1st job.

The choice fell on 20 "corniche monza silver ET40 rims. I have doubts about the size of the tires. It's safer to choose those with a higher balloon - 275x40, while the speedo will distort me by 5%, at 275x30 the error is in the range of 2% - optimally .. I just hope that with standard suspension in any of these configurations they will not rub.

I have a request for more experienced people as to the comfort of driving with both versions - is it very noticeable ??

do you suggest 20 "wheels are too big for t6?
Not at all. It's just a fairly comprehensive package baseline information of "standard" wheel sizes including ET, PCD, CB data. The site actually lists the same information of almost all cars.

Hello,
I'm just freshly fitting the 20 "rims back ET35 9J front ET40 J8,5, the tires are uniroyal 275x35. The front works nicely at full turns, while the rear at the final stage of opening the sliding door gently rubs against the tire ... Any ideas? Rubbing is not big, the door opens, but over time the sliding door trim will not look good ...

I know, in a moment I will get a missile that the car is dirty - but I have poor weather conditions at home, so the car is dirty ...
