Me and 3 mates did the PPDS for the 3rd time two weeks ago. Unfortunately picked the Friday and the weather was biblical, had to give up after 45 miles as couldn't feel any extremities. I can attest Goretex is over rated.
PXL_20220625_101440860.jpgRest of the weekend was super and had 2 good days out on the big rigs.

Ouch. At least nothing broken.
We’ve got a road trip coming up and I must remember not to do anything silly in the next couple of weeks.
Salt water will heal that up in no time.
And beer stops it stinging.
Lol in true me form I do this 2 days before I'm supposed to be at a bike park down here. If you don't fall off are you trying ?.
Beer works. Salt water not so much I'm not missing out on the waves though.
That looks sore.
I could pretend to laugh it off and at the time I carried on riding for another hour.
The day after and now I admit it suckksss.
Its a reminder I dont heal as quickly nowdays

Also started from Les Gets, yes Friday was different :) We got to the first pub after Morzine / Avoriaz and back after few hrs of waiting there, still fun

20230203_111509.jpgAdded another to the stable, Orbea Rise carbon. That makes 3 ebikes (Decoy and Levo), a YT Tues DH bike and fat bike. You always need a spare ebike for when one is inevitably in the shop but seems I have a spare for the spare now. Will probably have to get rid of one, especially if her indoors cottons on.

My two analogue bikes, Santa Cruz Chameleon and Nukeproof Scout, built both myself, both running AXS shifters.

I've a cube reaction ebike as well but I've no photos of how it looks now after I've swapped out everything but the frame and motor.

You doing it again this year?

There are now four of us making the pilgrimage for PPDS in 23, staying in Les Gets again. Not planning to book for the event this time as want to choose which day to do the full circuit depending on weather - prebooked the last 2 years and ended up with the wet day each time.

I assume you can do the full circuit any day over the PPDS weekend with a full area day pass, and just loose the food stops?

Decides that my new bike doesn't like me very much. Small off just before my trip to Cornwall

Never actually updated this funnily enough, but it turned out that small off was actually a broken foot and a broken rib to go with it opps. Finished the weeks holiday then came back and had another 4 weeks signed off work. Back to it again this year :slow rofl:
