Sliding door flyscreen

Hi Guys
I purchased a 120w x 150d flyscreen on Amazon for £22 - it fits the onto the Transporter Sliding door with Velcro provided with very little trimming. I’m used a few magnets also. Message me if anyone wants more info. The flyscreen looks really good.

The mesh is very fine so I thing yes it would be midge proof

That looks exactly the same as the ones from Lidl - if it is it will not be midge proof. Those little buggers will get through with ease.

Funnily enough I do have a LIDL door flyscreen. I have compared both and the mesh on the new one is very fine by comparison I would say the holes are about a third the size of the LIDL one.

That is good to know. I swell up like a balloon with midge bites so the first thing that I did when I got my van was get midge screens for the sliding windows.

I also purchased a Midgie screen for the sliding windows, a great bit of kit. It's good to leave it open at night for more ventilation.

Thanks. Had seen them but I don’t have OEM sliders. Might have to make something up.

@Stuka have followed your lead and fitted the Amazon insect screen. It's a fine mesh so it should afford some midge protection and was easy to fit, almost made to measure. The top velcro is good but I have added press studs on the sides as the velcro adhesive there is a bit weak.
