Sliding or fixed windows on camper?

Windows update - there may be a few sets available this year if they are happy, but main production run will be next year.
Headlight the same for info

Did they say when they will be taking orders? Or have a waiting list? Thanks

Been looking at side windows for my panel Van and I like the flush openers but they seem a pain to obtain and cost more than the camperglass ones.

Thinking of going fixed both sides. Im only doing a basic day van with ovano style bed in the rear

Does anyone regret having only fixed ones ?
.
I’ve got fixed tinted windows on my day van…. I love the flush look and didn’t want any worries about leaking windows. Definitely no regrets!

My thoughts are that I have read in a few places that the DVLA might start allowing V5S to be ,campervan, again because of the abundance of low emission zones. If this does happen I believe that opening window would be a requirement.

Hi - I'm deciding between 2 VW campers. The one I prefer the look of does not have sliding windows in the sides. But there is another similar van, that just doesn't look as good which does have sliding windows. I'm keen to know if these are pretty important to have or not? Are they a real advantage, or can they have their own problems? Should it be a deciding factor? Thanks in advance!

I’ve merged your query in to an existing thread, so you can get some idea on previous discussions around this.
I guess it depends on whether the sliding window is OEM or not, as OEM sliders tend to leak.
But this other thread may also help:
