Speaker upgrade, door lining or both?

Before I spend any money..
I want to improve the audio experience, I'm looking for feedback from folk who have both lined the door only and retained OEM speakers (Deadening & acoustic foam), replaced speakers without lining the door or done both.

Was it worth doing? Do you wish you had lined the door? Was lining a waste of time/money? Is the overall experience better than OEM? The only reference I have is with the golf which sounds superior.

100% do the deadening you need to turn the tin can in which the speaker is housed in to something more like a speaker cabinet.

Absolutely a no brainer. The difference is unbelievable.
