Specialist to retrofit ACC to a T6

£580 if I am supplying and doing everything. If you have Odis and wanting it doing remotely this is also an option, and cost is £200

Sorry I’m not doing CP removed radars, but I can match the radar to any high line cluster if needed for additional cost if required. Primarily the service is offered to upgrade fee on existing radar

Hmm, an hr from work. Is this a day job or could it be done in the evening?

Could you provide a list of exactly what you supply please?

I have a 2017 Caravelle Executive with a MFSW and regular CC.

As long as you already have radar, supply and fit genuine brand new buttons, activation of ACC swap, and coding. Can be done in an evening, and if you are really keen can fit you in this week

I'm very keen. Wallet not so much, but, I'll very likely take you up on this in the new year some time.

@Punkvw

What is the 'all in' price for a manual T6 with just normal CC (no radar)?

And you can fit buttons to a MFSW rather than change the entire wheel?

Many thanks

Sure. Can swap just the buttons no problem

I can work a price for you for full install including radar. Drop me a message

From Hazzy Days :

“Please see some info below on the Adaptive cruise, however the biggest issue is on automatic models the ABS pump needs changing and is very costly and almost non viable,

Adaptive Cruise

See options in tool bar, if this is of interest still as its very expensive”
Reading this page, it seems to talk about the Stop / Start function needing this upgraded pump option. My 2016 DSG shuttle (with adblue) already has the stop start, but not ACC, just normal CC. Do I need the upgraded pump, or can I just get the other bits needed?

Thanks!

You need the following(assuming no Front Assist) :
- radar( no CP & FEC matching your gearbox type)
- radar holder with adjustable screws
- radar bracket
- replacement MFSW buttons

Then a bit of coding adjustment to the ECU and ABS.

I ended up not doing this.
after discussions with Hazzy days regarding the Van having, MFSW, Radar, front assist, Emergency City Braking start stop, cruise control etc etc and sending my Vin Number to Hazay days, they insisted I needed a new ABS pump !
Hazzy days quoted at £3850+ Vat ! (nuts) - this was a supposed trade Price !

Clearly Hazzy days does not want to / cannot offer the method that others have found to work.

Ok I'm going to break my silence on this one and it's possibly going to cause me being shit at by others but I feel from a professional point of view it's a responsibility. I have spoken with members on here and some others in the know about offering this solution myself. I even refused to do it to @Texxaco who as most people know is one of our demo vehicles.

We are holding off on this for several reasons but 2 main ones I think are being overlooked and could leave us as a company open legally if something went wrong. This excludes people like Hazzy Days who are using the proper and OEM method.

The method used involves using software that was never released for use on vehicles open to the road so from my research is doesn't have type approval from the DVSA and technically you are hacking a component that forms part of a critical safety system as the radar is used for assisted braking and ACC.

This leads me to my next concern as a company and the bit I feel would leave us open to possible legal action. Should this modification be carried out and a serious accident occur whilst the vehicle is being driven, there's a possibility that vehicle could have systems checked if it's found the software used has no DVSA type approval the vehicle would be classed as not insured as the modification won't have been declared and would be outside the underwriters terms and so the circus would continue. This also potentially leaves us as a company at risk/liable (of which I'm not sure as law is obviously not my field.

As I said it's just my point of view and research and I'm happy to be corrected (especially as it would be a service we could confidently offer). However I feel as a respected, professional legitimate business this view should be put out there. What people choose to do is complelty their decision and no one else's business.

Hope this sheds lights on the reason behind some of the costs involved and highlights something's that people my not have thought of.

Cheers
Chris
