Specialist to retrofit ACC to a T6

I debated making such a post but never quite had the words
‘X’ firmware/datasets are not vehicle specific and I thought just for experimental/testing purposes unless some of the people offering this solution can clarify further ??

Makes perfect sense, and those considering this back door “upgrade” should do so with full knowledge.
god forbid someone died in a road accident, if, after inspection of the vehicle, it was found the vehicle safety systems had been “adapted” away from factory setting (type approval) there would be potential massive repercussions. I.e. you would probably go to jail.

Personally, I dont see the need for ACC anyway when you can use your foot for free. Just saying.
Safety improvement is a priority and ongoing technological development serves its purpose.
I wouldn't be surprised if some day ACC becomes mandatory.

X firmware is a developer version, it is used during development and testing stage ahead of its first official release.

For example 7N0 Bosch MRRevo14F radar had the following firmwares released:
X055
B062
0110
0210
0211

Only last 3 have been officially released but probably there is no driver who would notice any difference in the ACC behaviour between all the versions mentioned above.

Looks like this isn’t happening then which is a shame.

I have a T6 with front assist so thought it might be a more straight forward job than it looks like.

If you have standard Cruise Control via MFSW then you just need to do the following.

1. Replace your current buttons with one of these:
7E0959442A (support DSG paddle shift)
or
6C0959442B (don't support DSG paddle shift)

2. Exchange your radar for another one (with correct SWAP code already uploaded).

3. Adjust your ECU & ABS coding (VCDS, OBD11, VCP, etc.)

4. Enjoy ACC

Thank you. I have 1,2 & 4 covered.

Can anyone help with me with number 3? Where can I buy / exchange the radar?

£4000 plus VAT for DSG vans!!! It doesn't say whether that is the price for vans with no radar or mfsw tho'. Does anyone know what is involved if you already have a radar and mfsw?
I have a new T6.1 dsg Sportline and my ACC hasn’t worked for 6 months! Too busy to get it looked at my main dealer. That’s why i bought a VW because they never go wrong :fast rofl:
