You can put a 275/35/20 or 265/40/20 on there - Near on the perfect size, both available in the correct rating, and works on both wheel width sizes above - Although it is recommended the 275 is too wide for an 8.5" - We've fitted loads with no issues

Thanks for the info @BognorMotors, that gives me much more scope :)

I to have tried for lower profile 35 but could only find Haida tyres which are 255/35/20 102 but by all reports are rubbish if you don’t need 103 rated tyres you can get 255/40/20 101 rated

If I fit 265/45/20 is there enough room at the front without fouling the shocks or wheel arches” given the RR wheels are ET47 I believe I need to use 10mm spacers?

Thanks @Richard f , The velle data says the max axle loading is 1680kg so I need at least 850kg rated tyres so 102 minimum. I can get 265/40/20 rated C/C and 68dB, just need to check there’s enough clearance for the 265 width

If you use 245/45/20 the tyre stays inside the rim so you will not get wheel rub with this offset
That’s good to know - so would I need extended bolts to fit these wheels, or only if I use spacers a fit 265/45/20

With 265/40/20 you can get 104 rated but if you want 245 you have to go to 45 profile to get over 102 rated 255 there is not a lot of choice

I've been chasing my tail to get something near what I’m after but found this out!
I’m going to hold off for a week or so so I can establish if 265/40/20 will fit without rubbing - even if spacers are required.

Any issue with the above tyre sizes, wheel combo,if you had b14's fully wound down?

275/35 all round. No problem at all.
Im guessing one advantage of this is that the 275 up front on the narrower rim offers some wheel protection?
I would be really interested to know the suspension/wheel/tyre combo in your forum profile pic. Its non-dished wheel but looks mint.

Been looking at 20 inch wheels and like the staggered look with 10 inch on the rears.
Will be lowered using B14's

Are there any downsides using staggered setup? e.g. rubbing etc?

cheers

If you get the correct offset, you will be fine.
I'm running a staggered set of 19's on B14's and they do look a lot nicer in staggered sets in my opinion.

One downside to staggered is that you can't rotate your wheels front to back to even out tyre wear......

Not that many do that recently!

Staggered on inovit revolves 20”,and lowered on b14’s,not all the way down (so I can use it for work).

Only done yesterday,I’ll get some better pics up when I give it a clean the weekend.

Can you post the wheel offsets, ET and tyre sizes too please? I’m looking for wheels and tyres currently and it’s a minefield trying to find a setup that fits and won’t rub etc
