Hi Everyone,
My name is Manlong from the Netherlands And I have a huge problem with a T6 2017 van.
My neighbor bought this van with the intention so make it work and sell it.
Because he doesn’t has time so I wanted to help him so I can get my van earlier.
The van was a ex police van that had caught a fire including the ECU was burned down.
My neighbor have changed a small part of the wiring because it’s a hell of a job to change the inner wiring loom behind the dash. Also the Ecu is changed because of the burn down but not totally deimmobolized.
The wires are all checked by a specialist and that was good and he also diagnosed that the Mechatronic is dead because of the fire. But he got a special way to get the starter worked by bypassing the Pin 2 from the dq500 to the ground so the ECU thinks that it is in the P or Neutral. The Code that is bypassed is the P0850
When the van starter started the van will turn on and after one second it totally will shot down like something was blocking everything.
We thought that the problem could be the mechatronic that is doing this so we send the car to a specialist (but it wasn’t) that checked the car why it doesn’t started after a lot of time standing there and there advise was to change the mechatronic but he didn’t because he was scared that the wiring problems could cause a shortage and than the mechatronic could fried again. And their advise was to change the inner loom where the repair was done and after that change the mechatronic.
So we took the van back and tried to find a loom but it is nearly impossible to do this because no one sell this part and new costs around 6000 euro. So we needed to work with what we have. After we contact the first mechanic that has done good job he said that he couldn’t demobilize the Ecu so that could be the problem of the falling out after we started it.
So I contact a friend of mine that works a lot with the immobilizer problems and he said that he permanently could decode the P0850 so maybe then the van will start and run but now we have the following problem.
After we took the van back the van won’t start (starter won’t turn around) any more. So now we have more problems when we ask for specialist their help LOL.
When we turn our key to start and we press our brake and bypassed the mechatronic the start won’t start or turn around you also hear nothing.
We have don’t the following things:
Read all the starter problem topics lol
Checked all the fuse with hand and also checked with special device.
Tested the starter with 12 v on the wire and the starter will turn around.
It looks like that maybe a relays could be dead but we will check that asap
Have someone maybe have some idea? Or having maybe ever have the same problem?
I also asked the last mechanic what he has done maybe he could help us out.
