Did you ever complete this job @Thomas Hopkins ? I have a factory painted startline front bumper but the paint is now starting to come away at some of the edges (latest bit by a jet wash that was washing the van) so I’m now thinking about upgrading to the high line bumper

I can do you a deal in a highline bumper

Drop me a PM with prices mate if that’s ok. I’m away in the camper just now so haven’t had a chance to start looking yet

A few more pics of my Startline van up grades and mods.

Wheels, side bars and roof bars and I've also done a few mods inside but nothing special.

rear is from when I added reversing sensors and painted the bumper and added roof spoiler.

all going well.

next is side widows and interior and paint the door mirror caps, once I figure out how to get them off.

I got my startline bumpers and mirrors colour coded white buy my local paint shop
The guy did a fantastic job and only charged me 250 quid , he had to use a special primer to get rid of the textured finish1526039863886142098443.jpg 1526039863886142098443.jpg

My startline bumper looked great for a year then the paint started flaking off the textured bumper. That’s why I ended up getting this highline bumper painted

My bumpers are smooth now not sure how he did it but smooth gloss finish
Think it' the last time he will quote 250 tho

Yeah once painted the textured bumper ends up with a smooth finish. I think it’s the texture that can cause the flaking issues if not done correctly but there’s a good chance you will have zero issues

Still working away on my van and a couple of recent mods outside with the side windows done and wing mirrors painted and fitted, half way through the interior making it quieter and nicer.

everything's on a budget as most folk but there is a lot of satisfaction in doing it yourself.

still looking for a passenger single seat if any about.

cheers.

I thought Travelin-Lite splitters came without the two large PDC holes (can’t remember why I formed that opinion)

Mark,

Yes that's the one I got from Elliot at travel-Lite, along with most of the other parts, no issues with fitment excellent fit.

£600 to get everything painted and fitted it all myself.

Speak to Elliot he will sort you out.

cheers.

Willie, as well as that part shown. Did u also have to buy a grill with the badge as the startline is all connected. Probably a silly question mate but I am a little confused. Thanks.

Yes bud I did, I bought a brand new one from VW. £56 if I remember right well
Worth it tbh, it just clips into the new bumper.

No issues

Cheers

Thanks for the reply mate. Appreciate it. Is it just them two parts that are in your photo or is there any other parts needed? Dan.
