I just bought as per the pic and they came with everything I needed from Elliot, I did have along conversation with him a couple of times just to make sure I was getting everything I needed, there was a couple of bit missing and a mix up that did hold me up but I must admit Elliot at Travelin lite did get it to me asap with out question and no extra cost and he was available for advice as he has fitted the all the stuff himself and it was him that did the instructions.

If you are doing this your self let me know and ill give you my number just in case you get any issues as I fitted all mine myself or with one other for support tbh. Now that I've done it, it is pretty straight forward.

In the process of doing the rear out and still struggling to get the steering wheel fitted that I bought.

Cheers Willie

I've done the back and will get some pics tomorrow, not done the side bars or roof bars yet and need some more £££ and still undecided about the colour of wing mirrors at the moment.

Next on my list is 18inch wheels, I'm looking for a set ATM.

If you decided to do it yourself and fit it yourself let me know if you need any help or advice but I saved about £600 doing it my self TBH.

I have a long list of mods to do over the next year but wheels first.

cheers.
How much was it to change the headlights? I’m doing the exact same, starting point startline van.

Mark,

Yes that's the one I got from Elliot at travel-Lite, along with most of the other parts, no issues with fitment excellent fit.

£600 to get everything painted and fitted it all myself.

Speak to Elliot he will sort you out.

cheers.
I've been told by custom vans that the grill on a start line doesn’t come off, any truth in that.

See previous post, you’ll get a VW grill for about £56 ish and change it onto your new bumper.

I got mine from Elliot at Travelin-Lite and fit straight on, can’t remember the price but it’s on his website, any issues just call him, he is superb for advice and you might get a wee bit of a discount if you mention this forum.

Cheers

It does comes off. It just doesn’t come off separate to the bumper. So if you want to take the grill off, you take the bumper off, with it being a single (combined) unit.

Update from the look of my Startline to this and still a few things to do but I've only had it a few weeks, so its early on in its transformation journey but I like it.

BEFORE PICS AND AFTER.

Wheels next and then a few other mods to make it personnel to me and my taste.

cheers
Hi Willie
Are your grills standard black (not gloss black) and are those headlights from travelinglite, if so are they the ones that hav the 6000 phillips bulb in, how bright are the daytime runners in both headlights and bumper.

Thanks

Hi,

Sorry for late reply, work commitments.

Grill is standard black, and yes headlights are from Travelin-Lite with the good bulbs and are really bright day and night, massive difference from stock. DRL are really bright as well.

hope this helps.

Willie

Thought Id add a wee up date to my van journey from Startline to My-Line.

Just finished my interior, which I must say is really good TBH. I used about 4 box,s 30 sheets 2mm Silent coat to do the rear and put it every where I could fit it in and what a difference it has made and feels good that I did it myself.

I was going to use Absolute for the carpet lining but due to distance and cost involved it just was not cost effective and planned to do it myself or give it a go but fortunately I managed to find a local called VAN TRANSFORM IN Kilmarnock which were absolutely fantastic in my opinion and very cost effective for the work they did.

If any body that lives in the West Coast of Scotland looking for some to Carpet line or Ply line for there van THESE are the guys in this part of the country and you don't have re-mortgage to get the job done tbh AND CAN DO all sorts for the van. Cameron and Willie are quality guys.

Couple of pics of there work, I very happy anyway.

Hi can I ask how much your spray painter took and how hard it was to fit. We have the same brand new but basic van and looking to do something similar.
Where are you based. We are Ayrshire, just in case your spray guy is near to us.
I’ve have quotes ranging from £2000-£2500 to do this upgrade... is it because I’m female!

Hi I got mine painted at Colvins in Stewarton, I’ve known him for a few years and is a really good body shop, I paid about £700 just for paint for everything in the end and I fitted it myself and tbh honest now I’ve done it, it was pretty straight forward.

I did try and shop around for other painters but others were more than double the price for the same work, some just see you with a T6 and think you must have loads of cash.

If you need any other advice or help give me a shout if you decide to do it yourselves.

Cheers

Hi Folks,

Looking for a few pointers please. I have recently bought a start line panel van which I know it is basic spec but it does me for what I do and is a massive upgrade to my 2007 T5 which I had for a few years and was faultless the full time I owned it but fancied newer T6.

I am looking to upgrade/colour code the front and rear bumpers and I'm having a good dig around the sites deciding what to get and where from, has anybody done this or got any pointers or advice best place to get parts from.

Thanks
Willie
HI Willie I have the same headlights as you, when You turn on the headlights does a orange bulb light Illuminate on the dash?

That dash light is a bulb fail warning, you should not be seeing it if all lights are working correctly

I have put the headlights from traveling-lite in says plug and play so no errors come up! None of the bulbs are out.

Sounds like it is an error then. Perhaps not quite as error free as advertised.

No I have no issues or lights on but I have a 2016 Euro 5 T6,

I’m sure I read some where on this forum that if you have the Euro 6 and change the lights you might get a light on but I’m not 100% on that.

Speak to Elliot if that’s where you got your lights and he will keep you right.

Cheers
