PS: We’re also thinking of having a ghost II immobiliser fitted. Anyone got any of those and what’s your experience? I know there’s a separate security thread. Just thinking any T6 DSG 7 owners? I’ve read about occasional problems of the ghost interfering with the van’s electronics. Cheers.

No problem with the ghost on mine, the ghost2 initially had a problem on the T6.1 but that is long fixed now.
Its a good investment, great peace of mind.
What @JOG said; the difference with the Pro is a bigger bend for bigger airbags, the lock is the same.
Start/stop is a beast all of its own and can be very fickle.
I don't use the start/stop and use that button as one of my code buttons so it is always disabled, in the past I could it was fine as you don't turn the ignition off during start stop events.

Is it common for the t6s to be stolen ?
Just in case anyone is interested. Here is how my Stoplock works and gets stored in my T6 Kombi (highline MFSW with captains chairs) - Stop lock Pro storage
Just had a Bear Lock installed on my campervan this morning. Some before (during the installation) and after photos. It locks the manual gearstick in reverse. It was a 2h job/installation. They are based in Birmingham but they do travel to your home for a small charge.

This locks the gearstick in reverse. If they wish to take the van away, it will need a tow truck. It cost me £399.
Nothing is 100% secure to be honest, if they wish to take it, they will, I am hoping that it would slow them down, and they will break the gear stick in the process.

Just for info on the Stoplock, I have the Stoplock Pro model which is a good fit on my Highline steering wheel. A mate has borrowed it to go south so I checked Amazon to see how much a new one would be.

I‘Ve used the Milenco High Security Steering Wheel Lock with my leather high line steering wheel, no marks. It’s got a sold secure gold rating as has the disklok.

Another vote for Stoplock Pro. Easy and quick to use plus it can be used on other vehicles if you need to. For extra reassurance I've got a "Dublock" pedal lock but it's trickier to use and doesn't transfer to other vehicles.
I use a Disklok, you'll need the small size for the T6.
