This was taken surreptitiously in motorway services in Syria a few years ago (pre-revolution). Basically, if you asked for meat, they cut a lump off and cooked it while you waited. Personally, I didn't have it and although it doesn't look very dirty, my mates [very] dodgy stomach later that day (and a couple afterwards) testified to the fact that it was probably very dirty indeed.
