Possibly a stupid question, but what is the cost to replace the spare wheel?
I note that tyres are 215/60R17 and both tyre and wheel need to be suitably load rated and minimum of 17" to accommodate the bigger discs on T32?
Thieving Croats will nick owt ,just because they can......wether there's value or not........in this case it was a brand new tyre on a brand new alloy..jJust thought they would be after the tyres because I know they are valuable but who wants a tyre with little tread left .can't believe there's much scrap value in an aluminum wheel and you have to register at the scrap yard nowadays!
How did you use your bike lock?
Plenty of info’ on the Forum, it can be done with a hole saw and a security bolt.also any advice for best way to secure it!!
Thanks! I saw that last night, ordering nowIt appears that there is now a less expensive option too...
SpareSafe – T5 T6 & T6.1 Spare Wheel lock (inc Security Bolt)
The Sparesafe locking system will deter even the most determined thief for stealing your spare wheel. Specailly designed for VW T5/T6 & T6.1.vwcaliforniaclub.com
It's also worth putting a spare socket on the bolt to make it harder for a "Mole Grip" to make purchase. Thanks! I saw that last night, ordering now
