Still waiting for my van to come back from the insurance after they have changed the locks and replacing the head unit after it was torn out, I guess looking for a tracker? They are taking for and seem to be very poorly organised.

Hit me up if you want cctv, the right lens’s etc is important. Glad it’s found, need to get a tracker on mine pronto. Have strengthened house locks and handles (look up lock snapping, it’s too easy for them generally)

So right. I’m doing everything. The worst bit is the insurance company for the van. I’ve missed the van. It’s so part of our life. Two planned trips missed as it taken so long. Looking forward to have it back.

Hope you get it back soon and it’s all fine ....didn’t realise how much these vans get stolen.we sold our California and never used a steering lock once.

It's about not having low hanging fruit. So install:

• Change any euro locks these or similar Avocet ABS TS007 3 star diamond grade anti snap euro cylinder locks
• alarm that is set at night with external perimeter protection (external beams/vibration sensors)
• CCTV with local (store NVR is a lockable box that is screwed down) and cloud storage for footage
• PIR lights
• Get smart house lights that are on a random timer
• anti climb spikes
• locked gates on the inside
• laminated glass on downstairs windows
• van alarm/disclock
• hiding keys and using a faraday bag
• drive posts
• get a dog
• don't store tools in van
• leave nothing on display

Yeah that's what we have on our units now, plus 1 star ones at home with 2 star handles after realizing it's 3 stars you want. Sleep better at night with those on the door.

also depends on the actual doors as well, some uPVC doors the panels can be kicked out! Its all about slowing the f*s down!
