Suspension in Scotland

I feel your pain being based near Aviemore. Basically nowhere in Scotland as far as I could work out. I ended up buying a KW kit from Bognor Motors and getting my local garage to fit it. The local boys seemed to know what they were doing as they suggested some extra bits for replacement at the same time. Worked out fine

Hello everyone, my T6.1 is due to arrive and I’m looking for recommendations to sort out the suspension. I know everyone suggests CRS or the Van cave but that’s very far away from me in Aberdeen. Is there any specialists in the North East of Scotland that come recommended?

CRS it’s worth the drive make a trip of it and stay down. After dealing with steve then I wouldn’t go anywhere else

Calm down, this isn't a tailored made custom tuned suspension, its an off the shelf suspension kit in a box.

Buy it from him, get it delivered, and get it fitted locally. Its definitely not worth an 800+ mile round trip and a few days of your time!

Find a competent Mechanic VW specialist preferably , we can supply the goods free delivery to you or deliver to him direct . We can guide them through the process if they allow us ha ha

Hi there,
I have just bought a T6 campervan that’s 203cm tall. I’d like it to be under 2m so am looking to lower it by 40 - 50mm. CRS get high praise in this forum and am not ruling out a drive to them but as I live near Edinburgh I wonder if anyone can recommend a suspension specialist within Scotland please. Cheers, Eddie

I got CRS to supply the kit (also in edinburgh) and then just had a local mechanic fit it

yep, am around 197cm with a reimo pop top - does open up
a few options and paid for itself my mistakenly found myself driving through a 2m high tunnel in paris

LOL yes something similar happened to me in France with my old van. What kit did you go for and how much was it?

i’ve got the koni / h&r and arbs… didnt try anything else to be honest and do remember thinking at the time it was better but its becomes the new normal pretty quickly
