I’m not set on b14s but that’s just going from this forum although with a house extension etc might be a while. Want it to not be so boat like and quite like the lowered look although not too low
I am the same. It was done to stop it squatting at the rear with the weight of the camper and improve the overall handling package, We are down about 50mm and the ride/handling is excellent for what we want. The lower you go with B14s, the harsher the ride will be as there is less travel available in the suspension. I work shifts around Birmingham airport so could meet there if that’s any use.

I’ve bit the bullet and booked it to have h&r springs for now as they’ve given me a great price to get done with a remap at same time. Plus I trust the garage and they collect/deliver.

Hi mate, just wondering how you went on with the H&R's.

Love them. Really improved ride quality.... no longer a boat. That coupled with the remap, feels like a different van

That's great news. I was going to start a thread but I'm sitting here wading through everyone's exploits lol. Can I just confirm, you went with the original struts and rear shocks?

HI, Newbie here and just got my T6 Highline, im chuffed but it does feel really lofty and plan to convert it to a camper, Im looking at getting the suspension done asap and was looking at the cheaper kits that include shocks as im thinking for the price of decent springs i can get springs and shocks ( PROSPORT DZT-LINE COILOVER SUSPENSION KIT VW Volkswagen Transporter T5 T6) was the ones I was looking at.
Does anyone have any advice what I should do or have the above fitted?
Thanks dave

@Pembo im in the same boat (brand new forum poster, hello!). While im stoked with my T6 Highline, it does wallow in the corners. Can anyone make a sensibly priced recommendation?

Hi @genjutsushi I can now shed some light... I've fitted the cobra 40mm springs, didn't go for shocks as thought if it still wallowed after springs alone then I can always buy them later as I'm kind of on a budget... They rock back end feeling planted and I'm still on the 16" Claytons. Don't hesitate to do it backs are easy, fronts required dropping the drive shafts..

I had mine lowered 40mm by Vanstyle which I am really pleased and still at the minute running round on the Devonports, which incidentally don't look to bad in my option but as suggested would look better with a set of spacers fitted.
Got any pics as I am thinking of doing the same on my new van coming with black Devonports

The biggest mistake people make when lowering their cars is to buy SPRINGS alone . with standard shocks the ride is compromised as a standard shock simply isn't up to the job. the reason people jump to the B 14 solution is because it has a more capable SHOCK and that is good for ride quality . Owners with only springs fitted who are happy with the look should just buy a Sport shock and all their problems will be over . The drop on sport springs is normally sensible 40 to 50 mm , lower than this up to 70 mm can only be achieved with a coil over kit , but the ride quality at the lower end of the scale isn't suited to everyone . Lower than 70mm is for the NUTTERs and they can put up with all the associated issues including Kidney trouble. Rule of thumb with Suspension the lower you go the worse the ride, please keep this in mind when being tempted with low low drops on coil overs .
Setting a B14 kit at 40 mm drop will give more comfort , but a sport kit with 40 mm drop will be more comfortable and cheaper .

This makes so much sense,as the adjustability/fettling on B14's would just be another thing to have to contend with. What springs/shocks would you recommend for a Shuttle T30? I assume that the H&R anti roll bars are a good upgrade, combined with say a 50mm drop on 17/18" wheels?

The T30 needs a performance shock ( KONI ) to match the lowering springs ( H&R ) at 50 mm we would fit the adjustable shock and we pre set these before delivery to you ( or fitting) . AR B 's do help body roll in corners but I would advise doing the shocks first because they are stiffer in low frequency movements which also helps roll , The bonus however is that shocks help pitch under braking as well , anti roll bars CANT do this . If money is not an issue then yes fit the roll bars it wont do any harm however .

Thanks for the reply. Interesting take on the ARB's,as everybody seems to fit them by default on the forums.I'll take your advice there though.
I would be fitting these myself as you are quite a distance away, otherwise I would prefer a pro fit. When you say 'pre set' the shock, are we talking about a preload,or is it the rebound? I'm having trouble understanding how this would be acheived remotely ie off the vehicle? I have some knowledge, gleamed off mtb and motorbike suspension systems, and could probably have a go at this myself. From experience though,I have always found it to be trial and error until you get the right setup . You might beg to differ?

Has anyone gone with the Eibach's? Or are B14 the only option.
If so, why? What's wrong with Eibach?

Eibach springs and B14 coil overs are two completely different offerings . BUT yes there are other things that can work and offer a tremendous result .

KONI sport dampers and H&R springs are very well balanced and probably give the best comfort / Handling package on the market , there are drops of 40 or 50 and for the super low customers KONI / H&R do a very nice coil over kit . Its height and Damping adjustable which is a huge advantage for set up
