Welcome to the wonderful world of the transporter!Looking at buying T6 T32 LWB 4 motion, DSG, no diff lock, 2 side doors.
I have read I won’t have as much choice with wheels on T32, also may want to convert in a few years.
Is T32 as easy to lower, convert etc. Any advice welcome as new to Transporters, thanks!

If you're going to carry a tonne or thereabouts in the back, it's better. Otherwise it's not.T32's already come with better suspension from factory
Given that a T30 can carry over 900KG of load, (exact figure depends on spec) it's unlikely that you'd be overloaded with tools and cable, a T32 can obviously carry 200KG more but will ride harsher when less heavily loaded, horses for courses!Hi, yeh I carry a lot of weight, cable tools etc in day job as a sparks, but want to buy van through business & convert later on.
Just got the lv2! Couldn't agree more customer care was a*!Leighton LV1's in satin bronze.
Decided to be brave & go with the bronze instead of black........ very happy with the outcome
Brilliant service from Leighton Vans & the customer service I received over some unavailable locking wheel bolts was top notch!!
Spoke with a guy called Carl at 15.00 on the Wednesday...... they were with me by 11.00 the following day!!!

I got a twin slider to convert them realised it was not as easy to convert. However, with a bit of thought you can use the twin slider to help the layout. I have my 12v control panel and 240 consumer unit in there and it’s easy to access gas and water. Thanks for reply, yes I will be wanting to convert to camper in a few years, not sure then if I should be buying twin sliders but as a sparky at mo would be really handy as my Vivaro has them.
I did all the electrics and insulation myself.Hi did you convert yourself, also any pluses on twin sliders? I suppose a bit of air circulation. Was yours a T32? Thanks Andy
Hi what wheels are theyView attachment 31156
Got these on my van
HiHi what wheels are they
I’m just buying a t6 32 it’s a bloody nightmare with wheels etc I do like the aftermarket genuine 20 inch vw wheels but I think you can’t fit them on a 32Hi
If I’m honest I can’t remember where I got them, don’t have them anymore as I found out they weren’t load rated for T32
As far as I know the wheels are rated for a T32, but VW won't fit them due to the fact that there are no tyres that are weight rated in the correct sizes.I’m just buying a t6 32 it’s a bloody nightmare with wheels etc I do like the aftermarket genuine 20 inch vw wheels but I think you can’t fit them on a 32
The wheels are suitably load rated, assuming that you're looking at the 20" SuperMetal wheels that VW offer, but as @Skyliner33 has said, they don't offer a load rated tyre. You just need to find someone else to sell you the wheels who will use a 265/40 tyre which is suitably load rated and perfect for the T32.I’m just buying a t6 32 it’s a bloody nightmare with wheels etc I do like the aftermarket genuine 20 inch vw wheels but I think you can’t fit them on a 32
Yes. The minimum required load rating for wheels and tyres is 860kg, but anything over that is fine. 102 tyres are 850kg, so too low, hence 103 being the minimum for T32.Ok my mind is a bit blown reading all these posts.
Are 103xl (875kg) correct load rating for a t32 (I thought was 860kg) or am I confused?
Thanks for that. I just had a minor panic as I’ve just put 103y on and it’s got it’s MOT tomorrow.Yes. The minimum required load rating for wheels and tyres is 860kg, but anything over that is fine. 102 tyres are 850kg, so too low, hence 103 being the minimum for T32.
