T6.1 new order delays

Well, looks like a no deal brexshit. That means no new T6 for me then. Well done Boris, my single cancelled purchase is the thinnest tip of the iceberg of the economy that is about to tank.
Without getting political it probably isn’t BJ’s fault, more a case of Dodgy Dave getting the odd’s wrong.

Have a 150 manual highline with a couple of extras on order (placed 9th Sept) and hoping to see it in next few weeks, as have a conversion slot booked for mid Feb.

Anyone got any sense of whether yesterday’s announcement on German lockdown will affect the factory again?

No Idea what it means but my new 150 kombi has now been in the port in Germany for 2 weeks and still not sailed yet. (order was placed last week in July)

only on the T32 Highline I was told hence I couldn’t order them with 150 Highline T30
Hi Dogs, I am sure there are plenty of 17" Devonports comming up when the factory actually build our vans!

Thanks Ant. Useful benchmark, so hopefully mine might come off the line in next 2-3 weeks then. Earlier comments suggested 4-5 weeks from manufacture to arriving with buyers, so you shouldn’t have much longer to wait.

Ordered mine via a 3rd party rather than dealer direct, so finding it a little more tricky to get a reliable update. Getting a feel for how other orders it therefore really helpful.

Just found out mine is now on the boat!
Hi, when did you order your van. I'm interested as I ordered my Highline Komi 4 motion back in March and still allegedly awaiting on the next boat (from china) thanks

Spoke to my supplier earlier. He’s had notification of late July orders having been built and shipped and tells me its now taking about 3 weeks from manufacture to delivery. August and Sept orders currently being built and expects mine to arrive in Jan.

And my converter tells me he’s just had a SWB Kombi ordered in Sept delivered in UK. Earlier delays on other customers vans now almost back to normal quoted lead times he says.

So seems like things are moving a bit more now.

Also to pick up on an earlier discussion re import tarriff, supplier confirmed that even if no Brexit deal, VW have definitely confirmed prices will be held for orders delivered by March (And ordered by 2nd Dec).

It was ordered last week of July, its only the 150hp, good job really as there was no way I could wait another 4month plus for the 200hp.

If you get your 8 digit order number you can get the full details of where your build is with live chat on the VW commercial website.

I only started looking a few days before that date and was obviously in no position to decide on spec, get quotes, and order in that timeframe. Just bad timing for me, but as one dealer said to me, they might as well shut up shop if the 22% tariff is applied. Covid has had a massive negative effect on them, and this might be the final straw. They are one of the biggest dealerships in the north as well.
