T6.1 new order delays

After visiting my supplying VWVC today for a chat I feel slightly more optimistic about my order which I placed mid March 2021. Sounds like although the factory are rubbish at communicating and updating the 'system' they are getting a handle on things and vans are coming through but at a vastly reduced rate, even the 204's and ones which have been specced up like mine, so there is hope.
Having said that my build week has dropped off....again...but hoping its for a good reason!!

Ordered the new van that was due on or before the 1st of September , now been told it’s been put back to an ETA of the 1st of October.
Apparently it’s built but because of the back log due to COVID it’s stuck in Germany apparently.
Anyone else having problems with delivery and ETA of their vans ?
I sold my T5 on Friday to a good friend who’s now in Weymouth on his Holidays, only found out on the Thursday of the new ETA of the T6.1.View attachment 81780

Pretty much every build we have bar the ones with confirmed weeks builds have been put back to the middle of next year, and across the board for all dealers as well. Each month the dealers will be given a build allocation and they will pull through builds in SLI order number order. So first ordered will be first built.

Thanks. Is it dealer discretion whose order goes first or is it order number?

Ordered a Sportline lwb pv in early July. Been told build will be end of December. Fingers crossed that I’ll have it by early April as that’s when my lease van goes back.

Delays of the magnitude that we are all being subjected to does at least build excitement!
My wife thinks I'm nuts as it's "just a van" and to be honest I myself am a little surprised by my own immaturity!

I actually had an email off my dealer yesterday telling me the van should be with me late December or early January as due to go in build "very soon".

Queried it with him and this morning got an email back saying my van will go to Status 20 next week!

I'm waiting for the confirmation with bated breath.

No never, dealer had always said it should hopefully be deliveree here, or here, but never really sounded convinced, and ultimately date got pushed back and back month by month.

This time I’ve literally asked him are you 100% certain its gonna be built next week and he said yes, but he’ll confirm Tuesday.

We’ll see next week.
