T6.1 new order delays

Pretty much 18 months from when I ordered my Kombi Feb 21 to when I picked her up last Thursday. It sucks having to wait so long, but after driving it for the last few days, it is well worth the wait.

18 months is an horrific wait, but I'm pleased to hear you're enjoying your fabulous looking van.

Tbf, that's not a bad turnaround for JCB Ashford - though that's not saying much.
Do you mind sharing your spec? If it's similar to mine, I'll try and use it to argue against their usual "it all depends on your spec" fob-off.

Jan 31st 2021. Still waiting! Just coming up to 19 months. Still no date. Said 5-8 weeks at start of June. Another Summer paaases by…..
I knew there'd be others with longer waits than my 15 months, but 19 months and still no build date...

I had a phone call with the confirmed build date, then I followed up for confirmation a couple of weeks after that. I don’t think the dealer can do much to influence the supply chain.
Thanks for that. I'm minus the 4M, but plus a few other options (LEDs, rear camera, electric tailgate, latching slider, tow bar, upgraded battery/alternator), so can't really use the "almost identical spec" argument.
Agree that the dealers have zero influence, but I'm so frustrated and I'm spoiling for an argument!
I've been given a date of December 12th on an October 21 order. If anyone wants it let me know. 150 highline in ascot. Manual 4 motion. Leds, captains seats, heated. Difflock, hdc, solid tailgate with soft close, side door with soft close, rear heater. Probably load I've missed off

My order has achieved the heady heights of status 10, with a provisional build week between #48 (2022) and week #2 (2023).
I realise provisional build dates are nothing to get too excited about and they can/do change, but this is my first indication in over 15 months that my order form hasn't slipped down the back of filing cabinet, never to be seen again.
Dealer reckons my van will arrive some time between Christmas and end of Feb, and suggested I might want to hold-off registering it until March (for a 23 plate). Not sure about that, as that would mean a 21 month wait from order to receipt.
