T6.1 no sound from head unit

Hi guys and girls, so after 15months of ownership my sportline has finally got a fault.
So 2 weeks ago I washed the van like normal and when I got back in and started the ignition I heard a crackling sound come from the drivers door speaker for 2secs and since then, no sound from the head unit.
Tweeters, door and rear speakers aren't working, volume goes up and down but nothing, not even on Bluetooth, apart from that, headunit is working as normal.
So far I've taken the doorcard off, looks all dry and wires/connectors look good (alpine speakers)
I've reset headunit, including removing my phone, and disconnected the battery. No joy.
Plugged obd11 in and fault code on multimedia unit code B201200, data set implausible, tried clearing but won't allow.
Anybody have and ideas before I phone Vw tomorrow

Cheers

So removed alpine speakers today, and water ingress, so assuming they have blown.
So I refitted my original speakers, left the alpine tweeters as thought they should be fine.
Still no sound, and same fault code.
Anybody have any idea?
Would the tweeters have blown too and stopping the sound, or do you think I've blown a module.
Surely the rear speakers and sub would still work otherwise?

If the speakers have shorted then there is a risk that you've also sorted the output stage of the amplifier.

If it's 15 months old you should still be in factory warranty?

Yeh, that sounds about right to me, and im assuming that's what has happened, as there's no sound from anything.
Surely if I've fitted aftermarket speakers then they will avoid the warranty?

I'm assuming amp will be built into headunit so would be full replacement, not cheap

plenty of old ones lying around, put them back in and shsssssh :whistle::whistle::whistle:

If by fitting them you caused the water ingress that resulted in the short then yes. It's not a matter of avoiding the warranty, the warranty doesn't cover damage you caused even if unwittingly. It's insurance against manufacturing faults not accidental damage.

If you've gone back to stock then book it in, but be prepared if they ask "did you fit aftermarket speakers" decide what your answer will be.
