Hi, I'm new to the forum and have a question regarding my 2022 T6.1 Kombi. Under the single N/S passenger seat of a RHD Kombi is a long slim fuse box. This is fed by a fairly thick red wire which is permanently live and terminates and splits into a slightly thinner one and three thin ones which feed three 30A fuses. The middle thickness wire feeds a bus bar which includes six spare ways. I would like to use three of these ways to feed three 12V "cigarette" type outlets and one way to feed a couple of LED lights.
So, my questions are,
what do the fuses feed that are currently already in the fuse box?
will the supply cable handle extra load (which will only be light use things plugged into the outlets and not all at once)?
is the thick supply cable straight from the battery and fused?
can you buy spare pins to "factory" wire into the holder and then just install fuses?
if so what are the part numbers of said pins?

I've been told that the fusebox wiring is for towing prep? my Kombi has heated seats, tow bar prep, no second battery from factory.

Hope this makes sense and many thanks in advance for anybody that can help

Thanks for that, that's a good start. So it does look like the fuses I've already got are for the towing preparation.

Any idea where the feed to that fuse box comes from, and whether it is fused (I suspect direct from the battery)

Also on the type of pins required and part numbers to utilize the empty ways for my mods?

It’s supplied from the ebox under the battery, this is where the main primary fuses live, these are bolt 50-200 amp fuses

Search google for JPT (junior power timer) or eBay for vw crimps and you should find what your looking for

So...I've been searching the forum and have another question.

Fuse box SH appears to be fed from fuse 3 (100A) in Fuse box SA- but then this goes on to say that it only feeds fuses 1-3,9,17-20,25,27,28

This has confused me a little as in my Kombi fuses 1-12 (SH) are all linked as the cables are all joined together as per the photo. Is this just the way mine is factory wired as I do not have all the options that SH can potentially have fitted or does fuse 3 (100A) actually feed 1-12 in my case?

Are you sure thats actually SH, you can buy a kit that wires in and adds that fusebox to accommodate towbar installation so it may be an add on ?

Is it just a black version of this ?

I'm guessing it is SH as my Kombi is totally factory and 5 months old. The photos show it unclipped from the plastics under the seat.

I have factory fitted tow bar prep but no tow bar fitted, also the 20A fuse (position 6 in SH) and in the photo does indeed feed the top dash 12V outlet and the one by the gear lever as per the diagram for SH.

Not very scientific I know but the thick red cable measures 6mm OUTSIDE diameter, the middle sized one is 5mm O/D and feeds fuse positions 5-12, and the other three are 3mm O/D feeding fuse positions 1-3 with 30A fuses.
