5.1.2 Selection of steering rack for conversions for people with disabilities
In addition to the standard power steering (PR no. 1N3), Volkswagen offers the Transporter with power steering with mobility aid (PR no. 1N5) as optional equipment.
The power steering is given a lower steering torque by setting a different mobility characteristic. This has an effect particularly at relatively slow vehicle speeds (parking, urban driving).
Does anyone have any additional info, part numbers etc?
I'm wondering if this could be a way to enable HCA at lower speed and/or increased torque as per: T6.1 Steering Assist part/no's
