I have heated washer nozzles on mine and have no idea if they ever worked. tried to get them to come out but had no luck

The heated nozzles don't heat the fluid in any way ... they work by default by making sure your Screen wash works
Are you on about windscreen or headlight washers?
Heated washers nozzles are always on, they are connected to an ignition supply so are live when the van is on, if you lift the bonnet and put your hand on the back of the plastic nozzle assembly you can feel if they are working, they don’t get hot hot though it’s only to stop them from freezing
