T6.1 Sportline black edition - release date

Just a shout out from the far south west Cornwall . I was down my local chippy Saturday night , in the kombi , and was approached by a forum member from Cardiff , he posted all the first pictures from the compound in wales , first one he’s seen on the road he said , still waiting for his which he ordered last April , put it this way the chips were cold time I got home , misses not happy but great to chat to another member .

Still waiting for my sportline like loads of people but I get home to some mail from vw so I open it only to see it’s regarding someone else’s sportline but for some reason addressed to me  will be calling dealer first thing

Talk about get my hopes up

Is it true that the wiring looms are made in the ukraine as my mate has tried to order a new California and the dealer said that there meant to have stop production . Any truth in that . ?

Spoke to a van converter today who said that He ordered 30 vans and only received 7 and msrt don’t have any vans to convert, apparently vw can’t produce vans because of components made in Ukraine and will be closing factories. Not sure how true that is but if it is true I’ll be very disappointed. Anybody heard anything like this?

It’s 100% true, it’s all over the internet, not just VW but all VAG and other manufacturers. Ukrainian we’re a big wiring loom manufacturer, amongst other things.

Yeah I was told by VW dealer yesterday that if you order a new sport line they cannot give you a delivery date year let alone months

sorry to all the purists but I had to put 20”

Don't blame you, that would be the first thing I'd do, the stock wheels are too small and look out of proportion to the rest of the van. They should have come from the dealers with 20's.

Then VW need to start looking to Manufacture there own parts as it’s only a matter of time unfortunately that Ukraine will belong to Russia again. Ordered my Sportline last June and was told mine was next in line to be built as each dealer can only have one per month. I’ve been told to call the on the 15th March to get an update. Worrying times ahead……

I was at my local dealer just a few days ago, they were saying orders will most likely not get fulfilled at all! That also coincides with what is coming from the converters.

Is there any truth in that the vw transporter wiring looms are made in the ukraine as my pal has tried to order a california and they wouldn’t take a deposit. Found that very odd.
