T6.1 Sportline Black Edition

Is it much of a job changing the speakers ? Dash out ? Never bothered upgrading speakers since i was a young un ! But these are pitiful , 4 speakers and 20w i believe .
Piece of piss.

Tweeters are in A pillar trims, and door speakers just need door card removed. Be warned the T6.1 uses different door card clips to the T6. You’ll probably break a couple removing.

The Alpine direct fit Speakers and amp with Subwoofer are a superb upgrade for ease of fitment and sound.

I have just the sub and amp fitted in mine at the moment and it’s superb. Alpine speakers to go in this weekend. Have the same setup in my T6.1 camper too.

But there are plenty other options out there too….. this forum is full of opinions….

Goes without saying sound deadening etc makes a fair difference too,

Changed my mind on this speaker upgrade , going to start with the alpine package for the front doors and get the fitters to do the sound deadening to

Tempted to keep my T6 and flog the 6.1 tbh , much penny pinching been done since my old van was made . Will check my spoiler when I get it back from sign writing !
Tbh the van itself is great, it’s the sportline
add-on parts and how they are fitted from the converters. It’s seems they just have no care or know what they are doing. I’ve had 6 complete sets of seats replaced in mine, all because stitching kept coming loose and the fit was shocking.

Does anyone know if msrt are making the seat covers in-house or do they sub it out to a another firm

I have just found lots of little annoyances , crap stereo , no leg room in both drivers and passengers sides , passengers seat higher so you are looking out the windscreen above the wiper sweep , no sport mode , stones pinging off the bottom of the van , obviously not so much unsulation / under covers . It just feels like a cheaper made van to me tbh .

First thing everyone needs to check is the rear spoiler! Seen into dealer today…… not my van but the demonstration vehicle. Spoiler loose and coming apart! The following 2 photos are my van and where trim is coming away also. The sunny weather has loosened the tape! Absolutely shocking! Seeing more and more issues from other people!

That’s really poor. I’m on a few Transit forums and MSRT are not without their flaws. I don’t remember the previous Sportline which was built by AB Crush having any quality issues.

I was not going to show some of these pictures but I thing people need to know. The quality is sh!!t! I know others have had the same issues and it may have helped vans off the line after. I’m sure some will be fine. But pay close attention to the details because the quality is poor in some places. My seats are sorted now but it took a lot of time and patience.

Ouch ! The quality is getting worse on these new vans . The wife was about to purchase an ex demo t6 lwb kombi twin slider. Looked really nice until you got close up . And in the back too. She wrote down with a pen and paper 15 faults. And that’s a van that was in there showroom. It’s just amazing. She decided not to buy it and bought really mint condition caravelle instead from an old gentleman down the road . No v.a.t and it’s pretty much perfect for way less than the kombi. Not 1 fault with it either.

I always thought quality control was The pride of germany and vw , bmw, etc but sadly things now are ran by accounts who want these vw vans out the door at any cost to make the people at the top bigger salaries. I have always had older cars and still have a 1996 Audi c4 2.5 tdi . Cannot part with it even better it’s a quattro estate with very little mileage. And have had vw golfs and even a 1988 caddy with a fancy truck man top . These are great . But some of us rely to much on modern cars and van and expect them to be as good if not better myself included. Sadly in some cases this isn’t the reality. End of speach . Ha ha ha ha ha
