But seriously the steps are:
1. Grab an old Carista noone wants anymore.
2. Download the 'Car Scanner App'
3. Install on mobile
4. Create custom dash view with ANYTHING you want to see on your dashboard.
5. Goto android auto app tray, find car scanner (little blue engine logo)
6. Open, click connect, click dash. I can check faults in seconds, monitor soot against threshold etc.

If you don't have android auto you can always just check the same on your phone, but it feels less gizmo.

Probably wouldn't be useful information at least to me anyway my lambo has this but my vanborghini doesn't need it and if i needed this for diagnostic I'd just scan the vehicle as and when.
Plenty of relevant information on this system as standard.

I 'have' to rely on an obd reader for most of my info cuz vw didn't deem even a temp gauge as necessary on our old 'builders edition' t5.1 .

I thought something where you don't need to connect to OBDII port.
I have VCDS on my phone and torq app so sure can get it that way.

Be mindful when installing your dash PCB in the back of that, the casing bends you PCB slightly and the fixing screw have the possibility of wearing through one of the tracks on the PCB if not careful.

Can these be added to the units post production. Just wondering if this might be a better way to control the "digital dash" thus elevating the risk or setting random settings on the original. Touch wood I have only been a victim of the Speed "bong" once, although the language on the "mobile/Bluetooth" screen is upsetting me way more that it should!

ETA; mine came with some large plastic washers to put under the screw heads. I can see how those heads can easily damage one of the fine PCB tracks that are close to the holes.

My van, 2018 T6 PV 205, normal cruise, no ACC, doesn't seem to have a speed limiter. Never come across it before, but multiple mentions everywhere to set to v fast then switch off. I guess speed limiters were optional?

Its not a limiter, its a warning "bong" and 100% you deffo have it .

If you're doing it yourself make sure you have access to a genuine VCDS to backup your vans ECU's prior to fitting the dash as it will re-write some items without asking you.

edit- I may have written that without spotting "VCDS User" on your tags

just use a customised dashboard in "car scanner" and you can see it in android auto (amongst loads of other cool stuff)
