Have some plasters on standby, your knuckles won’t have a lot of skin left afterwards!
I got my passenger side bulb out and with a lot of goes, back in. The driver's side was not possible. Fortunately my local garage (mot centre not a VW dealership) are experts at getting these things in, and saved the skin of my knuckles.
