So my story is I've got a 68 plate transporter T6 completely standard bought from main dealer and only serviced through main dealer I've done probably 60,000 miles since buying it and it's currently on 108,000 miles soon as I bought it I noticed that it had a judder When pulling away I'm a mechanic myself and have been for 30+ years I know the feeling of a faulty duel mass flywheel, so I take it into them they then say will will sort it out a week goes past get the van back and they said they replaced the clutch and flywheel when I look into it they just replaced the flywheel not the thing to do in my book,
A few months went past then the juddering came back again took it to my local main dealer van Centre maybe four or five times and only on the last time they said that they could feel it this time, so they replaced the faulty parts pick the van up and I could categorically say it was much better although you could still feel a very very slight juddering when pulling away hardly noticeable but I wouldn't of thought you should have anything when you're literally driving off the four court, I then speak to them again and ask them what they changed and there again they changed the flywheel no clutch, and yes you guessed it quite a few months went past And the juddering got worse took it into the main dealer again maybe five or six times this time and only on the last time they say yes we can feel it so I left it with them they then called me the following day and asked me to come up there to have a look as I knew the advisor there, we walked into the workshop yes we could see a fault with the flywheel but the clutch springs were rattling around and it took me to come up there to show them what the fault was with the clutch plate and advise them to change it, if it's not covered under warranty I would pay for it so this was last year and the juddering is just getting worse and worse all the time now surely I can't be going through another clutch and flywheel again must be something else I asked them to check the driveshaft last time I said they couldn't find anything wrong but I don't hold out any hope when I go back to see them again I'm thinking of selling the van now as every time I take it into them they say there's nothing wrong,
I don't know whether it's me but when I collect it it doesn't hardly do it at all for quite awhile I'm wondering whether they are tightening something up or doing something when it's there? I told them I don't care what fault is whether it's nut that's loose or something completely different like an engine mount I just want this juddering to go away just about had enough of it now.
I know previously when I used to work for VW we used to get issues with driveshaft splines we'd have to take the nut off push the driveshaft on a bit and put some thread lock inside it let go of the driveshaft so it came out and then put the nut back on just wondering about trying this if anyone has any issues with multiple clutch and flywheel is being replaced and still getting the symptoms of a clutch Judder I'd be very interested to hear how it got sorted
