Seems when i don’t use the van for a few days one of the wing mirrors sticks up folded then after playing with the button on the door it moves to driving position.it anlso sounds an bit dry when in motion . Any fixes? Cheers

I have exactly the same problem and have came on here to see if I could find a fix !

My one did this last year when the weather was colder and hasn't done it all summer so I am wondering if it is somethign getting sticky when it is cold ?

I am going to try some spray grease tomorrow and will see if this helps. Its always the same mirror and only ever if the van is left for a couple of days without being used

Morning. No sadly not totally.

The things I did above seemed to make it better, I used a spray lithium grease and that improved it but when it got colder it just stated again

The van went into the dealer who couldn't replicate it, it of course did it for two weeks before and pretty much every day afterwards so no idea

It only does it when it is cold or if the van has been left for some time, if I drive the van every day it doesnt do it

I have noticed also that the passenger side one is always slightly slower than the drivers side so I am wondering if it has a different motor or some odd thing

Hope that this helps but I dont have a solution to it sadly

Ahh ok.

So this afternoon I noticed a wet patch in the back corner of my van. After doing some checks, I have discovered that I have water entering the vehicle internally into the side voids.
The voids are soaked and when I pulled the matting back, the floor area was also wet.
My guess is that it’s coming through the bolt holes for a roof rack. I’ve siliconed and tightened them this evening and pulled the internal panels off slightly to allow for air flow.

Im thinking.. and it’s a long shot, that this may be the reason why my mirror is playing up. Moisture on the connections playing havoc…

Anyway it may pay for you to check your van for any water ingress just to rule it out.

As I said, its a long shot but worth a look.

Thanks for this, actually I have had water ingress in the past from that The dealer I bought the van from took the roof bars off and didnt refit any of the bungs so the cab was filled up with water the first time it rained but mostly in the drivers side as the van was on a slope. It's certainly a good call to check this though so I will see if any of the connectors are corroded. It seems to do it worst when it is cold though rather than wet and it is only ever the passenger side one that does it
