T6 tailgate not opening fully after new battery fitted

Hi ,
Just had a new Bosch battery fitted at my usual garage which all went okay, however just opened the tailgate and it didn't open fully it stopped round about head height (which for me is only about 1 meter 60!) .. any ideas what would have made the change to it I presume it's got something to do with the changing battery?

I do have a Carly OBD if anyone thinks that would help?

Fyi it's an aftermarket install that was completed by the chap that owned it from new before me.

Hi, Do push it up to its full height? I am no expert on these things but I think that tailgates can be trained.

Just a thought. If you attach your query to a thread on battery replacement or battery coding, I am sure that some one might come back to you. Probably in the electric section. just a thought.

Dunno about aftermarket but OEM, you manually push it to the opening height you want then press and hold the close button until it bleeps. The position is then stored.

I believe that the system has been tailored to adjust for people of normal height and not just the giants who can scrape the snow of T6 roofs with out very much effort. It even caters for the little people. Occasionally mine might stops at some height or other because they are quite sensitive to prevent damage or injury. I just either push it up to full height or close and start again then place a curse on it so not to do it again, seems to work.
