Tapping into Canbus Cables - Where to get to them??

Hi

I need to tap into the Can-High 19B and Can-Low 18B for both the towbar wiring loom and the retro fit of OEM parking sensors. I know all teh caables I need and what to connect. The issue I have is that the BCM sits high behind the dash. I can get it out but I have big hands the cabcles themselves won't come anywhere near far enough down and I'm not sure there is any way I can get my hands up there to tap into them......

Is there anywhere else that the 2 cables I need (orange and black and orange and brown ones) are more easily accessible???

Would much appreciate any help as my arms are already scratched to bits......

I managed what you have been trying to do a few years ago but you are right it's not easy. That CAN Bus must be available elsewhere, try the manuals available at https://cardiagn.com/ where there are full wiring diagrams included.

Yeah those T6s can be a bitch to get to.

I usually either remove the clocks and pull the looms up or struggle and swear loads lol

Although, the clocks out thing might be a different vehicle but I'm sure that's the route I take on the T6.

Edited due to autocorrect.

Instrument Cluster CAN-BUS is completely different.
You need to connect to Drive Train(Powertrain) CAN-BUS.

See below it might help you further.

It’s a T6. I’m not going to tap into cluster canbus. More so removed the cluster to try to get at the cables going into the bcm for the cables I need as may well be easier access to them as can’t get to them from underneath

Thanks @Lightrofit took the clocks out this evening, disconnected the bcm then pulled the 2 plugs up into the instrument cluster space and tapped into the wires quite easily!!

Thanks for the suggestion - as most of dash was already out due to doing the parking sensors, reverse camera and towbar wiring all at same time pulling out the clocks was only 5 mins more work!

No worries bud, done countless ones like that (even though I questioned my knowledge immediately after thinking about it lol)

To quote a very wise man:

“Just like that!”
